The reef. 150' visibility. About 80'

Note almost all the yellows and reds are gone. These corals all evolved under these blue wavelengths. Not to say they can't re-adapt to different spectrums, but this proves to me that adding the lower frequencies, like yellow, is all about our viewing pleasure and little about the corals health.

I think this photo shows the proper placement of various corals to best suit their light needs.

At the top is a tabling acro and some other polyps. All the way down to the green leather at the bottom.

Wow what a unique tank! I dig it, and your tangs look so healthy (nice and fat). That blue regal looks awesome!

No really, thanks. I kind of focus on tangs.

Well, it’s 2019 and the reef is still going strong.
New additions are the KH Guardian, new Wifi LEDs and soon a Ocean Swipe 360 cleaning and acrylic polishing robot.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
