Hi! I think a clown is a great idea! I suggest skunks, percula, or occelaris due to size and aggression :).

I wouldn’t recommend a wrasse just because this tank is too small to support both a wrasse and a mandarin with pods.

Hawkfish, coral crouchers, and clown gobies are all fun to have perched on the rocks. Hawkfish are a threat to small inverts and coral crouchers are mildly venomous, they are technically scorpionfish. Read up on them before you make a purchase :)

A cherub/flameback angel would be a beautiful addition! Full of life, colorful, inquisitive, and a very active swimmer. May nip at some corals, it’s a fish-by-fish basis

First of all, great choice with the mando, i love them, super colorful, hope its nice and fat. Second, a pair of clowns would work well, because mandos do their own thing and bother no one, and clowns can get sort of aggressive if you add them first, so later allows other fish to establish their territory. Even tho mandos dont have territory and do as they please lol. Royal gramma would also do well, not very aggressive but can be if threatened. Blennies and gobies are very peaceful, so those would make excellent tankmates, I would suggest tailspot or bicolor. Watchman goby snapping shrimp pair would also be awesome, the symbiosis in that is awesome to watch. Id go with the clowns if i didnt have any already, they have lots of personality and basically an essential in any reef/SW tank.
Good luck, choose wisely, happy reeding. *Send my regards to the mando XD*

I'm thinking of getting designer clowns which are usually ocellaris
May i recommend either the nearly naked, snowflake, and my personal favorite the midnight lightning?
*I only have the regular ones because i was on a budget when i got my tank lol
