Can you show me about your filter system. I'm trying to dial my Biocube in

im using the Intank media tower. Top shelf there’s floss replaced twice a week. Under that but still on the top shelf is a small bag of Seachem Phosguard that i replace every 2-3 weeks depending on what my tests say.

Next shelf down is a 5.5oz bag of chemipure blue. The bottom shelf has a bag of pond matrix but any bio filtration media would work.

Next to the media tower in chamber two i have the IceCap K2-50 skimmer. It barely fits but does fit amd works well. Theyve recently released a newer smaller unit that probably fits better.

Ill see if i cam get a video a bit later.

I just bought an Intank media rack and loaded it up with filter floss on top under that active charcoal under that Seachem Phosguard under it chemipure elite. I also got the fuge rack but have not installed it yet no macroalgae yet and lights

How quiet is the k2-50 and did you have to cut anything to fit it? My biocube is in my bedroom so trying to keep noises to minimum. Thanks!

Its quiet. mine’s also in our bedroom. There’s a slight hum i guess but its no louder than the return pump or light fan.

You would have to make some cuts to the plastic lip in chamber 2 to fit it in there if you went that route.

Thank you! And an amazing tank btw!

I think I’ll try the smaller version. Thanks for pointing out there was a smaller one too

Been a minute since ive updated here. The Biocube is still chugging along nicely and continues to grow eveything i throw at it.

2 BTA’s became 4 and possibly 5 last night. I cant tell if i see a 5th just yet. Im really about out of room here and am very close to transfering everything into a 40b ive been piecing together. Heres some pics from a few minues ago as well as a sneak peak at the 40.

Ohh, that's not a 20high sump, that's a Trigger sump... nice.

You're making me want to set up that anemone tank even worse with those beautiful BTAs...
Yep its the trigger 26. I debated a triton sump but decided against it.

I’m thinking about keeping the biocube running for the anemones but change my mind often. These guys love this tank for whatever reason. Keep their nice bubbles and glow under the the Steves light.

With tomorrow being blizzard day here i think ill dive into both tanks and do some cleanup mounting frags, cutting out xenia and rearranging a few things. 2 feet expectes to drop on us! Ugh

2 feet? Like 24 inches? I'm trying to imagine that... It's cold all the way down here in SC too. February, 80s. March, 50s with overnights in the low 30s. SC weather... lol.

Post pics of your work tomorrow! I like having goals to strive for.

Hey, my windows were frosted over this morning. I had to let the truck run for 5 minutes to melt it off...
Oh I feel for you! LOL Thats how I clean the snow off the car too. Let it run for 4 hours and it magically melts away! ;Woot

Only another 16 hours or so more to go!

Well what about the long forgotten biocube? Its suffered severe neglect and will be getting a total redo here in the coming months.

Terrible pic but to summarize about all thats left is GSP, Xenia, a nice toadstool thats gotten big and dropped a few frags, a few blue shrooms and the anemones.

The clowns are surprisingly spawning regularly though they now spend the bulk of their time undeneath the anemones tending eggs.
