Thanks, Lately I have been taking mini vacations with the kids. Went to Europe for 2 weeks and tank was fine. I like the Neptune controller and AFS allows for more automation and time away from the tank. Other than a few dosing items it is 100% automated down to the water change.

That's nice, re-reading your thread, I was reminded that you were going for less headache and maintenence in order to keep from breaking the tank down out of frustration years later. I worry leaving my reef alone for a workday, I cant imagine how nervous I would be for 2 weeks. I need to use my Apex more than what I do. Down my way you could probably make a healthy living just off your acro scraps! Thanks for the quick response!

Wow that's an insane frag tank!
If I send you money for shipping can you just fill the box up? Just surprise me with the variations. Lol

And did you say your water changes were automated too?

Just saw this thread for the first time. Awesome! I noticed at the beginning of the thread a picture of your tank being built...I can tell that its a Great Lakes Aquariums tank. I've been in that back room many times visiting with Steve and Brad. Great shop and great people. Glad to see one of their tanks being featured like this! Great work!

Hi All I had a few bumps in the Road Losing many acros over the early spring and now the tank is coming back nicely. I switch my philosophy form Ultra Low nutrients to Med/Low nutrients and the Colors have significantly improved. Here are a few pics of the Tank in recovery mode. Have a great summer all.

Then
2000ML of Biopellets full Flow + 4 cups of GFO in Reactor + 2 cups of carbon in reactor

Now
5ooML in Recirculating BP reactor + No GFO (Rinse foods) + .5 cup carbon passive in filter bag near skimmer output.

What recirculating BP reactor are you using and what are your phosphate levels usually at? Are you still heavily stocked and feeding heavy daily?

11 tangs! That would be awesome! I can only have 2 due to size restraints (powder blue and purple), until an upgrade. Corals look great!
