Really enjoyed reading your thread. You have some killer photos.

I saw a while back you starting doing regular water changes again to try and get even better growth. Did you end up noticing any difference?

Hey, thanks for the compliments.
I didn't even know people read this, LOL
So I had a big loss awhile back turns out it was a bacteria outbreak and lost quite a bit of stuff ended up dosing cipro. Since then tanks has been looking best it ever has. I've been doing regular water changes and probably will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Im still dosing also. I really haven't got it quite dialed back in but I'm pretty happy with the way the tanks running right now.

I somehow let my salt creep up and according my last ICP it was 39 😬
I switched over to red sea from IO purple and do not have it quite fine tuned I guess, which is not a excuse. I should have been paying more attention.

I also just switched from IO after years of using it. Im giving nyos salt a try.

Why'd you decide to switch?

It was always leaving this light brown, more tan actually residue in the can, so thought id try something new. I looked at those test results from years ago comparing all the salts and kind of went by that for my next pick. I did try Tropic Marin salt also but couldn't say they did anything and I cant say this is any better either to be honest. It does mix pretty quick.

Funny how that works!
I did the 10 gallons (12 percent) weekly on my 80 gallon for the first year. I have experimented (been a little lazy?!? ) with cutting back and for my eyes 12 percent every other seems to be the sweet spot. If I run into an issue though I’d definitely go back to weekly!
