My brother in law moved to Florida and gave me his set up. So I decided to go saltwater.

I started out with. 20lbs of live rock.
A bag of live sand. I'm guessing 10lbs.
An eheim canister filter. Lfs gave me the appropriate filter materials.
I also have an hob for the fishes filtering pleasure.
The lfs gave me all the necessary instructions and I went home and set it all up. He told me to let it cycle for 2 weeks then bring in water for a test.
I went back. Water was good. He told me to get rid of the plastic plants and I brought home a pair of clowns. Three weeks later I got 6 Trach snails, 1 skunk, cleaner shrimp. 10 red legged hermits. 1 Orange spotted Goby.

My phone takes lousy pics.
Two weeks later I put in some dried coral that I bought down in Florida.
I washed it and let it soak for a week before I put it in.
After a week all the parameters are good.
Another week and we decided to add a couple more friends. My wife fell in love with the 6 line wrasse and the lemon meringue. We also purchased the orchid dottyback.
The lemon meringue is missing in action and everyone else seems good so far.
