36 Volts in my tank

i am accumulating 36 volts from the ground of my receptical in my tank. after unplugging everything in my tank i have found that my skimmer pump uv pump light power heads and heater are adding a current to my tank
my question is how harm full is it. the tank is mainly lps with zoas nothing seems to be bothered but i myself feel a little tingle in the cuts of my hand when i put it in the tank.

Any thoughts?

I believe it depends more on the amperage than the voltage.

yes amps will affect it more than volts. and affect you for that matter.

don't know about amps & volts but last summer in my 700g pond I noticed that my koi & longfin goldfish were getting what looked like fin rot have had these fish for 8 years & never a problem after several treatments & water changes they weren't getting any better so I decided to do a big water change & clean the pump turned everything off & stuck my hand in to get the pump & got zapped replaced the pump & the fish healed up in a few days. don't know how long this was happening because I use a swimming pool tool to clean & drain so no direct water contact for me so might be something that has to go on for awhile before you see any bad stuff happen

I would look into replacing anything that is leaking voltage into your aquarium. Voltage in the aquarium usually comes from the insulation breaking down and it will get worse

i do nor have a ground probe but i unplugged everything in my tank one my one while watching the meter and it came down as i unplugged pumps and heater ect. i wasn't able to figure out how to find the amperage tho :/
