Crazy deals on SunLu printers:

I just got an S9 Plus (310x310x400) with all the bells and whistles you'd expect of a gantry-style printer nowadays for a song.
They currently are doing 55% off the S9 Plus on their page and Amazon.

My initial impressions are great, I've done an unboxing YouTube video and have done enough prints on the s9 to get another. Its no coreXY but its a great workhorse so far.

I've considered on getting a large bed printer just for "those" prints.

I extended one of my enders to a 16" x16" bed and it collects dust. 310x310 is a sweet spot I think; for ease of leveling and useful bed space.

I've got the Ender Max and it's been a life saver on some prints. The leveling was tricky at first though (as you well know :face-with-tears-of-joy: ).

Does anyone on here have the print files for a Smatfarm G5 AquaStar light shade? I can't find the files anywhere. Looks like this...

Mount is 2 parts, with tabs for rubber attachment of magnet. On one side I broke one side of the "groove" for motor to slide into, the other side I broke the end that cups the end of propeller cage(all in one drop:confounded-face:). I can measure with micrometer, I can mail broken mounts, I can mail mounts with pump- whatever you think is best. I'm open to complete re design. The ice cap and red sea gyres seem very similar but don't stabilize the end of cage or use 2 magnets, I would like to retain both. Function is what matters. If it's ugly, I'll just use it in the corner behind a rock pile. I refuse to toss them both and redo controller mount because current models are incompatible and already have 3 pumps worth of spare motors, bearings, impellers etc. Let me know how to proceed, thank you sir!!

Here's what I landed on. In order to take advantage of layer strength, I had to print it in 3 pieces and glue it together. But It turned out really nice.

Here's the CAD design:

I've only printed one side to test the fit, and it's spot on.

Once I print the other side and ensure proper fit, I will upload the stls to printables and share the link for anyone who wants them.

I use the older prusa mk3 for printing.

For modeling, I use solidworks. It's a bit spendy.

impressive modeling!
Thats the fun part. I wish I had more time to design stuff for folks.

This was a great opportunity because @Reefering1 sent the entire pump along with a return shipping label. That allowed me to print test pieces and make changes to ensure proper fit.

@BrettE, I just took a look at the front page to see if it was still being updated.

Good on you for taking over archiving the submissions
Thanks!

I slacked for like 6 months, but I finally updated it one night a few weeks ago. Trying to keep on top of it now.

Still could use organization, but it we’ll get there. Maybe.

Looking for a mount for the FW110 float switch used on Reef Octopus waste collector

TIA
I don't know of one, but it would easy enough to designing one. I have a generic parameterized power brick holder that I got somewhere. I wonder if that would work? You can customize the dimensions.

Figured I'd put a signal boost on cleven's files for the RFG nozzles, and the PVC adapters

A buddy with a 3D printer is printing a few things for me, so we decided to try out a few RFGs in PLA for my 180 gallon freshwater I'm getting ready to set up- mainly to test if they fit and function before long term ones in ABS or PETG.

I don't have any details on his print setup, but can ask.
