I went to my LFS, Salty Aquatic and Fish, to pick up a Hanna Copper HR. That is when I noticed a cover of sort. It was a 3D printed light defuser. A local guy makes them, as well as, magnetic frag plug acrylic mounts, single and multi plugs. Variety of colors and pop with neon color design. They had some mounted on a couple of their display tanks, so I thought I’d give the defuser a try. Any thoughts on this? Is there any benefits from this, at least for the corals? It is a single AI Prime HD 16 on a 18” flex mount. Tank is a IM 30L. Corals consist of 1-toxic green hammer, 1-RFA, 2-Acans.

Well I don't know about that particular one but defusers, defuse the light for a better spectrum blending getting rid of a discoball look in leds, but also decrease par so you may need to up your intensity.

Search on here, there was a guy selling them last year for the HD’s and they should fit the 16’s

Do you see any noticeable difference in how the light looks in the tank? I never noticed any disco ball effect when I had the 16HD.
I noticed a slightly dimmer lighting, I have some soft corals and Acans. They did notice a difference in intensity and show themselves a little better.
