Nice!! Any idea on the species of flasher? I’m on the hunt for a royal or sail fin flasher to join my carpenter if my friend has no luck sourcing a hooded, lineatus, lunate or pintail!
Speaking of which, a hooded or big lineatus would look great in your tank!!

If I could find a female lineatus I highly doubt it would be staying in the LFS for long haha.
The species of flasher is unknown but we assume it’s a hybrid.

Honestly, there’s a couple of fairy wrasses that look nice and I’d quite enjoy. We’ll see. So far the ones I’d say would be irresistible are;
- C. roseafascia
- C. finifenmaa
- C. scottorum (Aussie Var.)
- C. hygroxerus
- C. lineatus

I’d rather find them as females instead of mature males. The rest of my wrasse gang in terms of the Cirrhilabrus have all been brought as males.
Also, they’re just the very top of the list that I would have a difficult time passing up.

No doubt I was eyeing a hygroxerus (even here in oz they’re not common) rosefasciata is definitely a grail fish too! But I wouldn’t survive all that long after adding it to the tank and my wife seeing my bank statement haha! And that’s IF I ever come across one haha!

I thought about putting in a sand bed and getting a lennardi wrasse, but I’m not too confident with anampses, especially when I have much more aggressive eaters (even my sunburst is fairly aggressive and shoos mcclane l, my bristletooth tang away from a 1x1 territory it has staked haha!)

I came across one Roseafascia I believe in 2020 and the temptation to go for it was hard to avoid

Just a quick bomb of photos! Nothing much to update on except everything has been booming in growth ever since I replaced the sand. The green mushroom has managed to get onto the top rocks as the urchin decided to pick it up for a good 3 days if not longer.

Also, an FTS :)
And of course the fish still look rather small, it’s like I can never get a fish to look it’s actual size in photos.

On the Foxface, the red towards his caudal fin isn’t a wound! It’s the Naoko just making a turn.

Same in 2017 the price was definitely enough of a deterrent for me (a cold grand, which I’d be happy to get an angelfish or tang for, they live for decades in the right conditions)

Hey, so I have a 4x2x2 tank, its slowly becoming a reef and in the past 2-3 months it’s been finally growing the easy acros and sps corals. It’s been running for the past 21 months, it’s home to a total of 7 fish, it still has room for about three more is what I got told.

In order of introduction (First to last):

- Siganus magnificus,
- One black photon clownfish (The female recently vanished and hasn’t appeared for the last week)
- Copperbanded butterflyfish
- Ctenochaetus binotatus (Blue-eyed kole tang)
- Halichoeres chloropterus (Jade/pastel green wrasse)
- Halichoeres iridis (Radiant/iridis wrasse)
- Cirrhilabrus lubbocki (Lubbock’s fairy wrasse)
- Genicanthus melanospilos (Spot-breast angelfish)
- Cirrhilabrus scottorum (Scott’s fairy wrasse)
- Cirrhilabrus lubbocki (Lubbock’s fairy wrasse)

the thing that started the wrasse line was a flat worm infestation from a torch colony, only one head remains on the torch now, We originally had a different set of fish for this tank however those fish died in an ammonia spike.

The corals in the tank are:

- indonesian torch (Basically all dead except one head),
- Yuma ricordea,
- Duncan coral,
- An LPS I can’t remember the name of,
- A Blue discosoma mushroom (It took three years to get one-)
- Staghorn acropora,
- Red Montipora capricornis,
- forest fire montipora digitata
- Green entrusting montipora
- A “hybrid” Hammer x Frogspawn (I think it might just be a Hammer though)

Inverts include:

- 2 Skunk Cleaner shrimp,
- 4 bumblebee snails,
- 4 nassarius snails,
- 3 hermits (1 blue leg, 1 Left handed/Zebra, 1 unknown)
- 1-2 astrea snails
- A ton of asterina stars
Nice work! What kind of tank/cabinet is that?

Also, I noticed a few eggs and a nudibranch on my Torch so I’ve had to dip him… I now know where all my pods (Amphipods, Copepods ect) were all hiding. Also discovered a dwarf serpent star had taken refuge in the torch (Sorry buddy… forgot the fish would’ve eaten you).

I forgot to update you guys on what I got yesterday… I hinted to it in my Nano build thread but not this one.
Anyway, after leaving this stunning Sinularia Leather in my LFS for weeks. I couldn’t risk it any more. So I pulled the trigger, it’s a beautiful light purple base with some stunning deep purple polyps.

It’s a mix between LPS and Softies at the moment, if I come back with coral it will either be a beautiful leather or a rather easy SPS.
I’ve been on a kick for leathers recently and I would love to find a Weeping Willow Leather (Or a very long polyped toadstool Leather).

Will the fact that it‘ll be a leather cause a bit of chemical issues towards other coral(s)? I think you can use carbon to balance out the harmful chemicals if you do get it.

Honestly, I’ve never faced issues with introducing leathers to established leathers. I have 2 blue/grey Sinularia frags, a giant purple/pink Sinularia and the two Toxic Green Kenyas. I have had some coral die off well, one coral dying off but now it’s appearing to be recovering. Every other coral is unaffected so I assume I have no warfare going on.

Picked up a better lense today, I updated my Nano’s thread with photos but really, the best photos came from the heavy blue 4’ tank :)
