Anyone have any luck with doing 4 clownfish together? It would be in a 90g

Don't have any experience myself doing it but the people I know that have success with more than a single pair of clowns normally have quite a few. Spreads out the aggression and it seems to die down after awhile

If they have their own “spots” on opposite sides is the best chance. Are they going to be hosting anemones? If so then put a breeding separator on the left with some space for them to see if they pair w the enem and same on the right with the other 2. I am assuming the clowns are already paired

this started because I wanted the orange snowflake clowns and my 4 year old wants the black ones.

I lost so we got both pairs! Lol

it the 2 pairs don't interact with each other its ok, or you can have 1 female with 3 males. But if 2 of the 4 happens to be females you might have an issue.

safe clown numbers in a reef tank: 1, 2, or a school.

I think it depends on the temperament of the specific fish. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don’t. I’ve had a mated pair in the past and the female harassed and eventually killed the male. On the other hand, right now I have 3 ocellaris clowns that live/sleep together in harmony. The female is very mild-mannered and doesn’t even nip at the males.
