4 kessils on 4ft tank

You have the X controller? I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but I think I made a pretty good program too. I’ve had great growth, even better coloration.
So just fyi these put out much less par than you'd think. I have 6 a360we and one ap700 (so basically eight 360's altogether) on a 4 foot by 3 foot tank. Par about a foot down with them all at full intensity is only about 250. Par at the sand bed is around 80 to 100. As stated that is at full blast, which is where I keep them for 6 hours a day. the ap700 ramps up and down on each side of that 6 hours. I'll find a pic to illustrate where those per readings are and whats growing good where. Also the spread is very good on these lights. So hot spots are basically eliminated from their tech past my understanding. The par is very even on these lights from directly under center to about 12 - 24 inches to each side (depending on distance of course).
The pic I found is only about half the tank. I think 27 inches top to bottom.

Beautiful setup btw, previously i had 2 a360x on my 4ft tank and did check with the PAR meter. On the sandbed there where some spots where i was getting 120-140 PAR, about 6 inches ofd the water surface i was getting about 170 -220 PAR and thats at %70 intensity. Now i wonder how much PAR i got with 4 in total. Gonna have to rent a PAR meter again to make sure i dont burn the corals, aa of now i only got the intensity at %65 and color at 20.So just fyi these put out much less par than you'd think. More or less what BRS showed when they reviewed them. The spread is even and really well done based on the design. At the time if I recall they said "the best spread and coverage they have ever seen based on their current tests". I wonder now how they feel after looking at the G5's.
In any case like you my tank is deep @ 30". I am seeing similar par as you. Interesting enough the lens they sell will provide more light for our depth but cost us a bit of spread/width.

I should have mentioned I keep mine all the way to the blue side. This yields slightly less par (Although more effective par IMO). The par does get much higher if you turn it toward the whiter side. I used to keep mine there as well but I've found I get much better results full blue. And I like the look better after getting used to it.
