40 breeder build

Ok well so far I had built the stand but had to chisel some grooves for the trim in the 20 gallon sump to clear. Now time for paint I think I’m going to leave it open

getting close to being finished. I work 6 days a week so have been going pretty slow on this

Ordered a sump kit off eBay. I sent a message asking for black and red combo and the guy said no problem and no extra cost! I need to buy some silicone but wanted to share the color combo and give a shout out to Jax.racks from eBay

This is a pretty awesome build. I'm thinking about doing kinda the same thing; but with a 40 breeder as the sump as well. Extra water volume. What are you gonna use for power heads, return pump, and lighting? I'm thinking about going with a 6 bulb t5 fixture or retro kit. If I go the retro kit way I'm thinking about doing a good and incorporating a kessil A360WE for that hybrid standard.

I’m going to use a Jebao slw20 as a Powerhead in using a jebao 3500 as a return pump. And as for my lighting I’m going to do 2 ai prime 16 HD’s running a schedule that everyone uses on the radions

That sounds great I've been out of the hobby for almost four years now. I'm guessing you are going with 2 ai prime 16's to help better spread the light out?

Yes I’ve been out of the hobby like 2 years now my last tank was an 80 gallon cube with a Radion xr30

You going to do a build thread? This is my first build and first build thread

Yes I'm going to do a build thread but it'll probably take a few months from start to finish. I wanna do it right and have everything I want so I have to save money to buy all the equipment I'll probably start my build thread next week sometime

Ya mine has been a slow process as well. Buying the parts as I can afford them. I bought the tank like 7 months ago during the 1$ per gallon sale lol
