Hello all,

Long time lurker here. I will be posting a full build thread for my first reef tank sometime soon. However, I wanted to start with hopefully getting some opinions on the aquascape I am putting together, before I start gluing and epoxying. Please see the attached images and let me know what you think. I'm using regular MarcoRock, and the aquarium will be a mixed reef, mostly LPS and softies, with some fish.

I like the aquascape! I think you have a good amount of room for fish to hide, swim around, and for coral to grow. Are you gluing all of the rock together once you finalize an idea?

I love it but personally I would go a little higher, but thats just me I like taller aquascapes

make sure you keep enough room to clean the glass around the rock. If the cardboard is your tank footprint, I would make the scape slightly smaller so you have room around the aquascape to clean the glass and allow flow to go around the rock

My current plan is to super glue everything together, then epoxy, similar to the method Ryan and Randy used on some of the BRStv videos.

Thanks. I believe once everything is glued, I'll bring both sides of the 'scape in a little bit/adjust once they are actually in the tank.

I was thinking of going a little higher on one side for more contrast, but I was trying to stay 50% of the tank height or below on height due to what i've read.

Sounds like a good plan!
