I'm working on building a 400 gallon saltwater aquarium. I was wondering what thickness the glass should be? Plus any tips would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Was going with 8 feet long by 3 feet wide by 2.5 feet tall. Then after I built the take I was going to build an enclosure around it.Well, what are your intended dimensions of the tank?
Taller tanks will have way more pressure at the bottom then a shallow tank. So the height of the tank will be one of the factors to consider when selecting glass thickness.
So then 1 inch thick tempered glass would be too much then? Would thicker be better in this situation or what?Welcome! Probably 3/4" glass
8 feet long 3 feet wide 2.5 feet tall. I was thinking. If it would be better to lower the height and make it longer, I could do that too.
Okay for height I was thing 2.5 feet tall.Well, what are your intended dimensions of the tank?
