I have kept a 34 gallon AIO for about 2 1/2 years at my parents house. Now that I’m settled in I’m going to move my tank and decided to just upgrade it as well. I’ve been setting up a 40b and will use the 34 as a refugium. I’m planning on doing a mixed reef with lots of flowing corals (hammers, torches, etc) I currently only have a pair of clowns and wanted help on my future stock list.
Firefish
Cardinal or two
Royal gramma
I would love a mandarin eventually if I could support him
Goby/pistol pair
Maybe a longnose hawk (if it doesn’t eat the shrimp)
Or a Starcki damsel

I’m planning on adding 1-2 every month or so just to keep an eye on the parameters. Also quarantining everyone. Are there any fish that won’t get along?

for a 34 gal this stock list seems just fine! The fire fish can usually get bullied around by more assertive fish like the damsels, clowns, or cardinal, but in your tank especially if your rock work provides plenty of hides it should feel plenty safe! If your worried however you can exclude it from the list
