Set up a 46 bowfront to have for a holding tank for now if needed. Have a nicrew 200 light and just added 100 pounds of primo live rock from Gulf Live Rock. That way if you are wondering about them go ahead and pull the trigger, unless it isn't that good. Being my first setup, and first time ordering live rock, who knows. There were a few dead crabs in the bottom of the bags of live rock, and most looked like porcelain crabs to me. I will attach the pics a few at a time so they will hopefully load up easier.

My main question for now, besides if anyone can identify anything, as I have no real idea at this moment, is I got about 12-15 clams on the rocks. Will that many do ok in a 46 gallon tank or should I get a few out of there. Don't want a large die off as they are large clams, at least in my opinion.

Thanks for any input.

Wasn't going to. Maybe put in some phyto a couple times a week. Would that work or would they need more feeding than that.
I'm no longer a clam expert, and it woudl depend on what type clams, buy I always believed they did better with spot feeding one in awhile (albeit they are photosynthetics )

The couple small white rock fragments were off of some dry rock that I am going to use for my 250 when it comes in. Figured get them on their way to being alive.

Pics: 5604 and 5606 might be an issue down the line.....
I am guessing they are Aptasia, but could be wrong. There are a couple more that I see but could not get a clear picture of them. Am planning on getting some peppermint shrimp and hopefully they will take care of them. If not will try injecting some lemon juice.

Aptasia are not natural to the Gulf
They look like Lightbulb anemones:

Thanks for the info. And the 2 in the pics are yellow, not with the best lighting because they are under the corner of the rock. And the brown one I have is on the top of the rock. Have at least 1 more, I can see tentacles swaying in the rock hole, but it has not made a debut as of yet. Time will tell a lot more of what all is hiding in the crevices.
