Here’s a short description behind this 46g(60”x15”x12”) custom made rimless. It was running only on a hob skimmer and two reactors, one with carbon and the other with gfo. Never did I ever cycled it and never did I tested it. Hard to believe I know but i also got surprised on how well it all was. No water changes and obviously it didn’t have a sump. I would only manually does every week on the same day at the same time according to each bottle instructions. If I remember correctly I was dosing calcium, alkalinity, magnesium , potassium, strontium, iodine, boron, iron, and some ph buffer. It never ran on a chiller or heater and that’s when things went terribly wrong. During summer it got very hot than usual and you could only imagine how things went down. I refuse to get a chiller due to the lack of space but did all I can to keep the temperature down but unfortunately I failed and it was a stupid mistake of me . Anyways that’s the story behind this one.
