Plan on running a mixed reef (LPS and SPS being majority).

What I have:

- 2x Radian XR 30 G6
- RMS multi-arm mount (mounting at 7”)

I know Radians ideal mounting height is 9”, so this would would be a little shorter than optimal (guessing reducing spread to a degree).

While they are on sale, would it be better to add a third xr 15 in the center? Or is this overkill.

I wouldnt worry about the lower mounting of G6’s. The spread is so high I think they need to be mounted lower to get the par.

I bought 3 g6’s and a 60” 4bulb ati t5 hybrid fixture for my 180g. I think youll be fine with just 2 xr30’s. I just like the t5’s out on the outers for eliminating shadows. You will get way more out of the t5 fixture than you will that xr15 in the middle.
