Just wondering if anything, as in fish, nems, or coral, could fit in a 6.8 gallon nano tank? Someone I know is getting rid of one for free and just wondering if anything would actually be able to go in it. It’s one of those Imagitarium fish tanks. Any advice would be great! Just curious is all!

5 gals are typically invert only affairs. Best thing you can have in there is an RFA garden with sexies IMO.
I did think about the RFA, but what’re sexies?
I also thought about pistol shrimp and watchman goby as well

Sexy shrimp. They are tiny.

A clown goby or barnacle blenny would be a better choice than a watchman. Fish are going to be tough in a 5 gallon.

Most corals would be fine, as long as you can keep parameters stable. Zoas/Palys would be a good choice. So would ricordia mushrooms. For stony, I would probably go with candycanes. They don't grow too tall, and can be easily fragged. Acans would work well too.

I’ll definitely look into those, and if anything I was just going to pull a rock from my main tank and use water from it every time I do a water change

mix new water IMO, only needs to be a gallon. There is no dilution in a 5 gal.

stocking wise:

Nothing super mobile, they need to be small and chill on the rocks. I recommend an RFA tank as they are very hardy, and are not bothered by touching one another. sexy shrimp host very well in them, and are very cool.
