What is the use case for 5 micron filter socks? Extreme water clarity? Seems overkill, but I imagine it has a place. At work we use 40 micron filters for filtering single cell suspensions.

What is the use case for 5 micron filter socks? Extreme water clarity? Seems overkill, but I imagine it has a place. At work we use 40 micron filters for filtering single cell suspensions.

Lanthanum Chloride for phosphate and flatworm eradication. The bags catch the phosphate particulates and the dead flatworms.
