I need to move my reef tank as the wife wants new flooring installed. While I have a customer furniture grade stand being made thought I would gather the components needed. Anybody ever use the blue 55 gallon drums that are avaiable? I can source them locally cheap. They help organic shampoo. Can I clean and bleach the container to make it safe to hold, water, rock corals etc while the floor is replaced?

Can't see why not. So long as you don't have anything that really needs light to survive... Lighting would be your sticking point.
