sorry I don’t know what sg is. I keep the tank around 77.5 - 78.5 depending on how often the heat for my house kicks on it will vary about one deg. As far as lighting I have a kessil a360 we white lights dam near off. I do weekly water changes I use tropic marin reef salt and dose with tropic Marin all for reef. In my old tank I had close to the same set up. Thanks for the help it’s much appreciated.

Yea, that may be your culprit.
SG = Salinity, and you posted that one, so we good there.

Ok so I wanted to give you an update I was able to get my alk back up to 7 now it is a bit early to see much of anything but I had a monti covering my Christmas trees rock I thought it was all gone. But all of the sudden I see green polips popping up. Haven’t seen that for 8 months. Thank you so much for your help. I never thought to check the alkalinity.

What kind of skimmer are you using? I’m thinking about setting up something like this and have been looking at the tunze skimmer and aquamaxx

I run a CRC skimmer and do not recommend it. I have been looking a a ghost skimmer my self just too many other things come up that are more important unfortunately.

I’ve never heard of a CRP one, but I’m a noob. Trying to figure out what would be the best for a tank this size. I have a reef octo HOB 100 on my 36 FOWLR, and it does a good job, but I want something not so bulky lol.
That is a nice one but I understand not wanting it cause of being bulky.
