60 Gal Cube Noob Build

first off a little back ground. i got in the fish tank about 3 years ago. started off with fresh water small tanks and heavy planted larger tank. one day about 3 months ago i got the saltwater itch and started piecing it together and this is what i have so far. I am looking fpr heavy criticism on what i need to change do and what i am doing right

this is the set up and long long fill of the tank 17 hours

what the aquascape looks like

some shots of my sump its a trigger cube 20x20x15 Emerald
protein skimmer is a sca 301
Neo Cobalt heater 200 watt
tunez ato 3155
return pump is weak lookinh for a better option thinking about the ehime compact 3000 or the more expensive vectra s1 the new one. currently i have rio 2100 came with the set up i have getting the job done but loud

this is what i using for flow i got a really good deal its or i would have got the 2 mp 10 just looking for a good place to put it and a good setting been doing some reading and testing i know 2 would have been better but i have to let the funds recharge a little bit

thats all im going to add atm until i have the flow more figure out

also the tank was cycled for about 2 months before anything ever went in. also i have an rodi system

Looks good. Where did you put the mp40? Did you leave it with the other powerheads too?

I have a 60 cube and it's tough to get great flow it seems.

thanks. at the moment its one the top left facing the side wall i think i'm going to try a different location today. as for the other power heads i took the out at the moment i don't have many coral i think i can get away with one mp40 and it will give me time to get another one if i need to.

Looks great. You mentioned it was a fw before I hope it was never treated with copper. Nonetheless you are off to a great start

not this tank its been nothing SW ive had other tanks that are FW. i did make sure tho no copper was ever use in it.

came tuesday home and there was a lot of white ish slimmy stuff all over my rock...now to its gome and the tank clear domt know what it was about to do a water change

Salt creep is normal. You're getting a lot of evaporation. Just be careful if you're adding kalkwasser in your ATO. Your ph can make some crazy swings. As far as flow goes, get two powerheads that have interlocking sectors of flow. For example, place one on the back and one on the side. If they are random flow patterns then that is better. Looks good so far

ok cool. no kalk yet some times my torch coral just retracts its arms all the way in i was wondering is some of the salt was falling in the water. as of now i have one mp 40 got it for a great deal from lfs but i do have some elfux 600 they where just so weak. also is there any way to reduce they saly creep in the loc line

soo im looking for other fish to add to the tank. 2 clowns have been doing very well. but looking for something else that i can put in there maybe some gobies not looking for heavy stock maybe 4 to 5 fish total also what i want to add a clam at some time i dont know if that will change the stocking.
