Friends,

I need advice. Please provide your experience and suggestions.

The tank is a 60 gallon Breeder glass aquarium on a oak wood stand and canopy. The aquarium is on carpeted floor one feet away from the wall.

I had leveled the tank when I put it together and after I put water into it. Its been two months and now because of the carpet crush the tank is not level any more.

From left to right its 2 mm off ( the right side is low by 1.5mm )

From Front to back its 5 mm off ( the back side is low by 3.5 mm)

From your experience please advice if I should re level it by putting wooden shims or can leave it as it is.

The tank is a mixed reef.

Appreciate any input you might have.

Thanks.

You should be fine as is IME/IMO with that size tank.

I set up several 50 breeders without leveling at all and had running for over two years before tearing down for a move. I cut the center braces out of all of them as well, and quite obviously none were perfectly level ;)

A 60 shouldnt be too big a deal as long as its not super high. I used pieces of scrap carpet to level my 90 on my carpet. But thats a lot more water/pressure and mines really tall.

The stand is 36 inch high and the tank is 22 inch tall so should I consider this tall or is it okay?
