60g 24” Cube Mixed Reef Build

-Dosing All for reef and kalkwasser.

I’ve been reefing since 2016 and this is my probably my sixth reef tank. All usually only last about a year to two because I get bored, move places or decide to “upgrade”.

This is my first. Innovative Marine Fusion 20.

Then I moved and upgraded to a 36x20x18” tank. As you can see here I’ve owned almost every light.

Then downgraded to a Red Sea Reefer 170 because I prefer cubes.

A wild piece that was doing great under halides but lost it.

Then I moved again and upgraded to a Red Sea Reefer 250. One of my favorite lights the ATI powermodule. I tried the tonga branch aquascape but got a little old for me. I get bored real easy if you can tell.

Now onto my current build that I started on June 25, 2021.
I did a fishless cycle and once cycle finished I started dosing daily microbacter clean and brightwell razor until I ran out. Added a lot of trochus, astrea snails and I haven’t had an algae outbreak (ugly phase) like I’ve had with all my recent tanks.
Here it is four months later already growing acros and coralline algae.
Most of these acros were added in August. So some are a month old and others a couple months.
I did recently recover from a dino outbreak because I installed an algae turf scrubber and dropped my nitrates to 0.
Unfortunately need to find a better orange filter.

Update:
-Temperature dropped to 70 degrees. Turned out my 4 month old BRS heater broke.
Acros looked fine so I let it ride out a couple days.
-I dropped a small (1/2 recommendation) bag of carbon in my sump to decrease yellowness since I don’t do water changes.
-RRC Wonderland stn’d.
-Radiant wrasse stuck his head in the rock and died sadly.
-I’ve also increased my white led’s to 100% and raised the lights to 12” just to try it out.

I’ve always had stn on acros after carbon. Could either be the carbon brand or it throws my water chemistry off. Though I’ve never experienced such a low temp drop.

Acros and coralline growing great. I’ve been dosing brightwell aminos for the past couple weeks without a noticeable difference. Nitrates sit around 15-20 ppm.
