So I just wanted to share my build with my 60g Marineland tank as I somehow found all my pictures when I first started this tank in 2016 and the progression it’s been through until now and all the equipment changes. Also get to watch my pair of clowns grow which I thought was pretty cool!! Here is when the tank first started! Basic setup 1 power head and a canister filter believe it or not.

So with what was posted I added RO water and threw the salt in and let it mix in the tank from what I can remember ha. Went to the LFS and picked up a cheap light at the time which was a MH. Got the light, sand and some rock.

The tank was also setup in what was my office at the time. So the light was hanging off the roof and I believe I added some more cheap power heads from amazon.

So I believe I went full rookie and started this cycle with damsels as I took pictures of them and I do remember this was a complete mistake on my part adding these devils to the tank. Looks like I added the clowns near the same time. Going off the time line on my computer.

So I guess I should’ve mentioned it was started December 14 2016 and the fish added December 27 !! With that said it looks like I added a 10g sump in February. Keep in mind this has been running on a canister filter for 2 1/2 months!!

Well in February 2017 I got rid of the damsels and started adding more fish NON QTed fish basically just dropped in and hoped for the best. I did not have room for QT at the time so this was the only option at the time.

Yea I guess for some reason all my pictures uploaded to my computer when I switched phones and now my computer was yelling at me to clear space and most of what was taking up space was photos. So I went through them and bam I seen these so I thought might as well share the journey from then until now. Of course it will be spaced out but I will try my best to fill the gaps!!

One month later I upgraded the MH bulb to a Phoenix 14k bulb and I absolutely loved it. Kessil couldn’t even compare to the shimmer this bad boy would put out ha. I even got a snap shot of the dog enjoying the tank!!!

That dang Petco has cost me thousands in reef keeping stuff... and I haven't regretted a minute of it.

Oh yea it was every other weekend going to petco and seeing what they had while buying “dog food”. Now unfortunately that petco has gone downhill severely.

As I look through these pictures it crazy what the tank has progressed through. If you notice there is barely any fish in the tank as I remember I had a bad ich outbreak and had some casualties :(

Same here, we switched to PetSmart and do the monthly "Repeat Delivery" on dog food and Marine S pellets for mt auto feeders. PS btw - PetSmart is cheaper on Hikari foods than anyone I've seen online. Just an FYI

Absolutely they are. Also another hint if you don’t already know. But PetSmart will match chewy and PetSmart online in store. I have saved an incredible amount by switching my car insurance to geico!!! Jk lol But seriously it’s crazy how in store PetSmart jacks the prices up 30-40% then you go on there website and it’s marked 50% off.
