I've given it it's own rock actually in hopes it will take it over and give me a swaying grass effect, I don't much care for gspcareful, they are hardy, but can sting nearby corals, they have sweeper tentacles
Thank you. Loving the setup so far except I need one more small pump on the right for flow, it's about med low I'd like it med high. I've run small tanks like this before and find it's easier to just scoop out a few cups of water a week and the parameters stay near perfect. Dosing shouldn't be necessary with reef crystalsAwesome tank. I have a tank like this that I been holding on to. Been thinking about doing a nano with it but wasn't sure how the built in filtration would do. How do you like the set up ? Any issues with water parameters?
thank you!Love your journal!
Can you link me to the new light your using and the actual tank? Trying to find a tank that best suits me.
I will be following!

Which light? The ai or the China led? And thank you! What do you think about a wheeler shrimp goby? Never owned one so idk their temperament but seems lime the tank is the right size. Thanks again for lookingLooking good man, yeah unfortunately no too many options when it comes to fish for small tanks, you can get some nice varietys of clowns, and gobys have great personalities. All this being said, once you get some nice coral and start filling it up the fish become secondary anyway. Good luck with everything. Oh, and I nearly went with that light, it's awesome, but ended up going with Illumagic Comboray G2 for the interchangeable leds. I'll do a write up on them soon.
The AI, the Wheeler Shrimp Goby should be fine, just bear in mind it burrows so you may find sand particles floating around your tank a lot of the timeWhich light? The ai or the China led? If they're happy they just make the one burrow and chill right? Like a pearly jaw? I've had radions before and they're amazing but this prime I feel is too expensive. Great light but cost more than it's worth. I don't feel the same way about the hydra's just seems pricey for a nano lightThe AI, the Wheeler Shrimp Goby should be fine, just bear in mind it burrows so you may find sand particles floating around your tank a lot of the time
Love your little pico! I'm starting a 5g pico as well, this week! Same as you, I'm getting back into the hobby with my little pico after a 2 year break. I previously had a 29g. [emoji170][emoji225]Hello first timer here. I have kept various reefs before but never shared really. Started this tank to get back in the hobby. Tank was cycled for 3 weeks before adding coral so it's about 4 weeks old now still a baby we'll see where it goes. Just a few easy corals to start and a random sps to test this light. All chemical filtration has been removed from the back and replaced with cheato and a filter sponge. The small powerhead on the left will be replaced with a jebao 4 this week so that will be nice.you can see the light shining through the overflow that lights the cheato, need a smaller led strip this one is too strong
