I'd love an IM tank. And they're currently 50% off. But they don't make a 6x2x2. It's close at 21ish I think. Right now it's about $3800. Any thoughts on a different brand? Glass cage is about 5k. Any others worth looking at or do I just go IM?

I love my I'm and the eurobrace was the deciding choice for me. I also like the 3/4 inch glass. Very well built and very functional. The shorter depth isn't really noticable imo and I simply have shorter rockwork.

You did same size? 6x2x2 ish? Pics?

Glass Cages pricing is disappointing. I couldn’t even consider them. I went with IM which was 1/2 the price for 3/4” glass, tank, stand, sump, plumbing, and even a screen lid + good return pump. You’ll get used to the 22” height, and the 30” width is so much better than a standard 180g. One word of caution, the tank is like 470lbs dry. You’ll need a lot of help.

Agree 100% about the 30. Couldn't imagine without that. And yes, very heavy for the size.

How often do they run the 50%? Is it one of those fake sale prices that's really always there? Right now 0% financing for 12 months. Selling my house and moving so I'll pay it off after the house closing in a few weeks.

They were close to 3800 before the tarrifs. I know that people we're paying more than that for some time. My guess is that sales have slowed down and they have an overstock. When I bought mine in October I expected a 6-month wait as most had a year and a half ago. mine was delivered within 3 weeks.

I'm not sure where I'll be living in 3 weeks. Lol. Still in final negotiations on selling my house and buying new one.

Don't think I'll miss the sale? I can always contact them with an address when they're ready to ship.

They ultimately ship out of California so I would reach out to them tomorrow and ask

I recommend ponying up the extra grand for glass cages. I’ve had a mass produced reef tank and now have a glasscages 310g. It’s a different world of quality.

The water box infinia reef 230.6 is a good looking option as well. Not as deep front to back but taller. After free shipping and adding cover, $600 more than IM but includes sump. Thoughts?

I have the IM 170. Bottom to surface is 19". They are very nice systems for the money, imo.
The 30" front to back makes up for the 21.7" vs 24" tall tanks.
You most likely won't even notice the 2.3" difference.

X37b's post makes me think... Lights. I have 2 radion 15s on my 75. Figured I'd add one more for a 6'tank. Will that be enough if I go with IM with 30" front to back?

No. I have similar to three xr30s. That is what you will need to cover this tank. Xr15s would be extremely limiting in what Coral you could keep. Unless you went with six
