On the new hood I have two cut out vents in the back of the hood. I probably do need to add a fan or two to help with the heat. There is very little water temp fluctuation when the lights are on. How does the heat affect the LEDs?

It is mainly to get the heat away from the LED's not from the water ... too much heat shortens the life of LED's and can make them fail if they get too hot ... the fans should be to get the heat out of the hood ...

Makes sense. I am thinkng about making another order from Rapid to get a couple uv LEDs and possibly a moonlight kit. I might order a couple fans in the process. Thanks.

If I were to add one LED of another color (i.e. red, green, cyan) in addition to the one or two uv's what would you guys suggest? Any good results with using these other colors?
