I have a 72 gal bowfront without a canopy and have been thinking of how to get LEDs relatively inexpensively for the tank rather than replace my 4bulb T5 help please

I would recommend 2 20 inch maxspect razors. IMO, one 27 won't provide enough coverage over the edges. If you do not want to spend $800 for 2 20 inch units, then you may consider two of the reefbreeder value fixtures.

90 Cree XT-E LEDs with opics driven at 700mA will give you more than enough light for Clams on the sand bed.

With LEDs you often Pay for what you get. Less expensive Chinese offer much less performance or reliability.

If you DIY you can choose the best parts.

Either way most quality fixtures will out do your 4 T5 so choose one that is dimmable so you can acclimate your corals properly.
