72 hours of disaster

Hi there. 1 year old tank, not a single of my 8 fished ever died, all OG.

In the last 72 hours, corals stopped opening, and in the last 12, both my clown fish died. Basic tests (Salinity, Nitrates, phosphates) all at their normal figures they have been at for months. What can cause such a sudden issue? I took a few pictures, can provide more data, this is my first tank so relatively noob. TYIA

That coral on the left for example is a green star polyps, not too green...

I prepare my water myself with osmosing station and adding my own salt. I add All-for-reef every day. 10% water change twice a month pretty much. NItrites are at zero, Amonia as well. Salt at 1.025. Thanks for jumping in, I'll answer anything I can and provide any info

Verify ammonia as clown show hemorrhaging but suspects will be elevated nitrates, false reading for salinity, elevated temperature and low dissolved oxygen
Please add a couple pic of tank and how is tank filtered?
How are you testing the water?

Adding daily often not necessary. What is your readings for:
calcium
magnesium
alk

I'm using Milwaukee for salt, Salifert for KH, Hanna for Nitrates and Phosphates, API for calcium. I don't have a Magnesium test. Calcium shows 440 and dKH shows 7.

Yes I added 3 emerald crabs and a Sea Hare about 2 weeks ago.

I would also through some carbon in if you have not done so.

The Hare is mostly hidden but I saw it moving around yesterday. I will get a new bag of carbon today, there is some in the section before the pump but it might be expired.

Never had a sea hare but sounds like they could be toxic to fish and potentially coral. Maybe someone with experience with sea hares will reply.

Got it. I personally doubt its ammonia unless somehow it was added to the system like by an aerosol or something similar. Has anything been sprayed around the tank?

Unlikely, no kids or weird activities performed around the tank..

I would see if the carbon helps and closely watch other fish in the tank. The corals all seem to be hardy ones so i would not expect them to have any lasting problems from this.

Do you tds test your osmose water?
Could be a source of the problem.
Did you calibrate your salinity meter?
You may also want to do an icp test. It takes days to get results so the sooner the better.

A Poly-filter pad.

The salt water meter is calibrated and I had it tested recently both gave 1.025. I'm not sure how to test my osmose water, what should I test for?
