Thanks! I’m mostly just mad at myself for getting into a tight spot. But the corals look happy and are growing, so I shouldn't complain, haha.
The kalk is just too easy and cheap not to do.
I like the abilities dosing pumps have, and I even have a Jebao one, but I hate programming it and calibrating it.
Plus the mason jar is easier for me to place back there vs. the dosing pump.

If I were limited to space under the stand, I probably would have gone with a dosing pump like your set up though.

Barring any ridiculous user error, haha.
Also if I brake the jar at some point, I’ll have spares thanks to my girlfriends hoarding of canning supplies!
I’m pretty sure she has enough jars to can both of my tanks and a significant portion of her moms 125 if she ever felt vengeful.

I’d take a picture of all of the finished product, but it’s mostly gone right now. We’ve been giving away stuff to our friends because it’s almost time for her to fill the cupboards again.

Roger that! I'm probably the farthest you can be and still be in the continental US though Haha. My gf loves to hike so it's a possibility though.

We’re going camping from the 7th to the 11th. There are 3 trails within about 2 miles of our campground and at least 2 others on the way up the service road. We are planning on day hiking the nearby trails and maybe backpacking one of them and extending our trip if we feel like it.
But the short answer is that our 5 year anniversary is on the 9th, so hopefully we’ll find the best trail on that day, because that’s when I’m planning on doing it.

I’ve never been to Florida but have always wanted to. If I ever come down there, I’ll definitely take you up on the generous offer.

I was nervous, but more about doing it poorly, than being rejected. Her and I have been discussing this for a few years, and I’m stoked to be making it official now.

In other news, I got a shipment from BRS (a whole day early too, I feel so giddy!) and was finally able to set up my super fancy, high tech, one of a kind luxury kalk dripper.
At least that’s what I’m calling it.

I’m starting with a 1/4 teaspoon of kalk per 1/2 gallon, and I’m going to start testing daily to see what it will use. I think I’ll have to make the mixture more potent, but I’d rather under dose than over dose for now.

Well, I went coral hunting yesterday and today. Here’s what I brought home.

I had a piece of the pink monti before, but it died on me, so I’m giving it another shot.
Also the minty green Acro has been cooking in there since 5/27.
The frag that has the two branches in fresh glue came off of this guy in my 20 gallon.

I can’t wait to see it all grow in.

Some of it would look a lot better if I could take pictures worth posting, haha.
Yeah it does feel good. I’ve been trying to be patient and just get a feel for this tank before I started getting more coral.
However 6 pieces in 2 days is not really “patient”.
