This is the reef today.

The pulsing xenia will be culled.
It had taken over my old tank and I had removed all but a couple of strands from the live rock (that was then transferred over to the current tank).

I would think so. some take longer than others. But adding a male and then the female becomes a male I'd think youd have a stressed situation. I believe the naoko can be pretty aggressive. @evolved what do you think?
2 together will soon be a fight and one less.
Stick with just 1.

Thankyou, it was about a year or so in the planning.

I did want to add an Apex system but couldn't stretch to it.
I am looking at adding a Teco/Teko TK-1000 chiller and a D-D 80W UV light this year (all being well).

I am looking at moving in 2 years time and will then consider an Apex system, calcium reactor and a reefbot automatic water tester. That's my plan
Does it get hot enough where you live in the UK to need a Chiller?

Thanks for the advice :)

I am looking at getting a Reefing Art acrylic acclimation box (from the UK distributor), so that when I introduce my new tangs hopefully it will help reduce the aggression.

Is my tank big enough for 5 tangs?

It did last summer and at times it does get hot here, but not to the extremes that you Yanks have it :).
We normally don't get a lot of snow, nowhere near as much as you guys do
