Hello,

I purchased 8 hammer corals online and FedEx failed me, delivery was delayed an extra day. Since hammers can be finicky, what do you guys recommend I do? I was planning on dipping them but I think this will be a bad idea right now. I know WWC recommends to add new corals the tank and then dip them hours later. I was planning on giving them a bath with Restore from brightwell upon delivery.

Any other ideas?

Thanks. Makes sense. I forgot to mention I use reef primer dip. Not sure how harsh it is on the dip scale.

I agree. I would wait and see how they look in the bag. Temperature is a big factor when shipments are delayed. I am not sure what part of the country you are in, but for me being in the midwest, the temps at night are still on the cool side.

WWC's policy is wicked strange and I would only do this if I had a quarantine tank.

Otherwise you must trust that WWC corals are free from hitchhikers.

And I agree with Rocks Reef above, if the temp is good in the box, I'd be far less worried.

Surprisingly, they came in looking good. I added them to a small 5 gallon tank to rest, with a small power head. A couple of hours later I dipped them with reef primer and they look like they have been in my tank for weeks. I had PTSD from an acros shipment and had a total whip out. Also one day delay.
