New here, tank is 4 years old. Remodeled my basement 10 months ago and burnt out one of the hydra 32s. After that I just turned the remaining light off and the only thing I did with the tank was add to the ATO every 3rd day. 3 weeks ago I decided I really want to make this tank the way I had thought 4 years ago. I removed and cleaned all of the sand, changed the aquascape with the existing rock work, did a 20 gallon water change, and turned the single light back on. 2 weeks ago I cleaned the sump, 20 gallon water change, bought 2 clowns and a bullet goby. Today I received the new hydra 32 and put black window tint on the back glass. Haha now you are all caught up on the last 4 years of this build.

Keeping up on the weekly water changes. Added 2 clowns, a bullet goby, and a few snails. Glued some firework cloves to the overflow already have a runner that has attached from the frag to the overflow, finally got a Gatorade zoa frag, and a rainbow anemone. In the past I was never able to keep an anemone except for one that didn't have a foot. This one has stayed out and opens up really nicely. Knock on wood it has been in the tank for 9 days hasn't moved, opens up nicely, has grabbed some food when feeding fish. Maybe one day the clowns meet it haha the bigger clown has been hovering looking at almost unsure of what it is.

Love shallow tanks. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses.

Weekly water change and I'm finally happy with the nitrate. Now if I can work on getting the calcium lower I know everyone says the Hanna test is not great but it has been also checked with Salifert test also. PXL_20250205_173500811.jpg

Well the copper band didn't last long thought it was maybe a eating thing. Got a small sailfin about a week later, found it dead the next morning. 9 days ago I added another sailfin tang and watched as the clowns went after it no matter where it was in the tank. I think the copper band and other sailfin were victims of the clowns. Grabbed the clowns and put them in the penalty box for a week. Put them back in the tank yesterday so far so good. Also, added some more coral to try to get the tank on its way to growth
