Starting my first reef tank with a 90 gallon build. Purchased a 40 gallon breeder for the sump. Was wondering what everyone is using for overflows? I see a lot about synergy reef and EMS was wondering if any experience would point me in a direction. Also, what are you guys using for return? Are you drilling or going over the top? Lots more to come as I’m just getting started.

king of diy on youtube has a simple but very effective overflow build that costs next to nothing. Check it out! It does require drilling bottom.

Following along as I have the exact same build going and trying to decide on the best way to do my overflows.

On my 60g i used the Eshopps overflow. A little cheaper than others but it works great. Even comes with the drill bit and template to help with the drilling. Also they do come in different sizes to accommodate your flow demands.
