90 Long Build! The Wait is Over!

Well....

I ended up getting on a 4th of July sale and have my next round of fish coming! Introducing the wrasse gang that will be entering QT next week

Where did you get the splendid leopard wrasse from?
NYaquatic but he ended up being out unfortunately so i went with 2 females

Been a little bit since any updates.

Today iv added my 2nd supplemental led bar, the reef breeders edge 45 is pretty great light 😁

Other than that iv lost 2 acros in the past week unfortunately 😕 the vivids confetti and jf shock tart. Both decided to slowly die from the base up over days/weeks without any known reason. The rest of the acros are looking great and really starting to encrust. I'll have to grab some pictures this weekend with the camera

Well its been a while since I update the tank! Life been busy and still fighting dinos so who wants to see that mess of a tank 😂

I need to get some updated coral pics this weekend. But for now growth and corals are starting to really shine through, alk is starting to be consumed at a little faster rate. Upped my kalk throughout the night to help stabilize alk.

Ended up losing my favorite wrasse to what I think was an unknown neurological issue, it was doing great and eating then disappeared for 3 days in the sand. When it came back up she was in real rough shape and laying on her side, I attempted treatment in the QT but after 4 days she was still declining so I decided to not let her suffer any longer.

I'm glad to hear an update! I'm sorry about your wrasse but it seems like your tank is doing very good overall

Cant wait to see those coral shots!

@trellemania Wait no further! 😉

Got some good pics of all corals tonight! Chalices are still upset; the leopard wrasse keeps digging in the sand burying them... I have to uncover them almost daily

Absolutely stunning coral man! I need to add more acros to my tank because these are goals😍

Thanks man I appreciate it! You will for sure get hooked on sticks if you start collecting any 😂

Soo a little update on my nano along with before and after pics

I removed all livestock and did a total reset on the nano. Performed a bleach bath in the tank for a few days then came back in and drained/rinsed several times before allowing fresh water to cycle for 1 day. Came back and did a good drain/rinse again before filling back up with fresh water. Added prime and carbon to remove any left over chlorine.

4 days ago dosed ammonia to 2ppm then will add bacteria in this weekend to kick off the cycle.

Well looks like my Christmas gift is coming early!

Wife agreed to help buy my Christmas gift so I decided to go with the Hydros X4 Controller, really wanted to be able to watch PH while dosing Kalk along with my main reason being able to control lighting, heater, pumps, etc..

Water level sensor will watch ATO (I can be bad about not refilling lol)

Then the dosing head used for Kalk at first seeing im not dosing a ton yet, then eventually will switch it over to AFR and set up Kalk on a continuous doser

Controller came in today 😊 now i have to find a cabinet to fit it inside so i can move all electrical and controllers to the side of the tank.

Dont mind my UV sterilizer rigged up 😂 after beating cyno the purple tang broke out with ich so put the UV back on for a bit.

Picked up this cabinet locally for only $30! Tomorrow i will install all my equipment into it and get the stand completely cleaned up from all electrical 😎
