Good choice.

Before I knew it, my stick shelf doubled 😮
My wife said whatever happened your obsession with torches? 😆

Sticks are addicting! Torches are nice but the colors you can pull out of acros can be amazing

Few quick phone pics!

Man they are great! Whats the plan for the move?
I have that frag tank i set up not long ago that everything will be transfer to during the move.

I used about 40lbs of spare live rock from my sump and it's been sitting there cooking since. Iv been ghost feeding occasionally, along with a few drops of ammonium chloride every week just to keep the bacteria feed until my fish get in there

Well the time has come...

We closed on our house friday so next month i will be moving my main tank into the new house..

The frag system has been up and running with established rock from main for roughly 2 months, so hoping for a smooth transition!

We now have 4 bedrooms (1 coral room) 😬 and 6.5 acres of fun! Soon i will be looking for my next tank, hoping to find a decently priced 250g+ system for the living room

Soo quite an update to my move. Things didn't go so well after transferring all corals and fish. The frag tank was stable 2 days after moving it to the new house, everything tested good so on day 3 I moved all fish and corals from the 90g at our old house to the frag system at the new house. The next day I fed somewhat heavy since the fish hadn't had a real good meal in a few days, and the next day I woke up to a horrible bacterial bloom.

My best guess is 1 of 2 things happened. The heavier feeding could have caused the heterotrophic bacteria to take over or my RODI was needing the filters changed and something was in the well water at our new house which fed the heterotrophic bacteria. I have now replaced all filters in the RODI and have a dual DI phosphate CO2 & silica eliminator kit which ill be using the pro series anion DI resin & pro mixed bed cation DI resin as a extra measure for the future.

I performed a 10g water change the day of the bloom, added 2 different types of good bacteria I had at the house and added in a air stone for extra oxygen. Next day I installed a 150g rubbermaid and brought over roughly 80g of water from my 90g tank, the rock from that tank and added in a bottle of turbo start 900 to help kick this bacteria bloom. Next day water had cleared up but the damage was already done. I have lost roughly 75% of acros, I do still have some hanging on including a few of my higher end pieces which was surprising. All torches were affected and showed signed of a receding flesh band, but stopped after getting things straightened out and have fluffed back up. No other corals were lost other than acros

Since the crash I have moved the 90g over to the fish room, plumbed it into the 150g rubbermaid, hung the reef breeders meridian with edge bars over the tank, did a quick cycle with turbo start 900 (had ammonia from die off in sand) and yesterday morning started the pump to test for leaks. No leaks and tank is now fully functional! If you noticed I made a rigged up filter out of a 5g lowes bucket lol which also helps cut down on splashing/bubbles from the drain, I plan to replumb the frag tank as well and add that drain into my makeshift filter bucket lol

Man wishing for a quick recovery! Hope the rest of the move went better!
Thanks man everything else went alright, just a lot of work! But i lost my chocolate tang today, freaking purple tang beat the chocolate and gem tang up in the frag tank. So looks like I'll be putting the gem into QT now.

Other than that the corals left are doing great so far, and i have 2 large shipments coming of lps and mushrooms 🥵

It amazes how they can go for months with no issues and suddenly one day they look at the other fish and go "You know what? I hate your guts" 🥲 My Green Wrasse killed my McCosker

Cant wait to see the new coral!

Well my purple tang is all of 6"-7" and is aggressive. In that little 50g frag tank there wasn't enough space for them 3, i thought it would be okay until my 90g was back up

Little update. I kinda did a thing 😅

Welcome the new 300g runway! Which will house all acropora. It's 8ft x 4ft x 16"

I'm thinking going with a lagoon style set up. Any ideals?

Little update on the 90g and frag tank system. Everything has stabilized and looking great so far, parameters are staying steady but no ph probe so no ideal where it's at.

What acros left are hanging in and slowly recovering in the frag tank. Euphyllia are looking amazing and really loving the merdian light!

Aiptasia have went absolutely nuts in the tank... i placed 4 nudi's in the tank to take care of them, haven't noticed much improvement but hopeful they are still in there breeding and eating what i cant see
