I was under the impression that I should avoid 90 degree bends in my plumbing if possible. Right now I'm trying to do it using all 45s.
Is it just a matter of preference? Or is there enough benefit to justify the extra effort of eliminating all 90 degree joints?
I'll attach pics of my current mock up.

Not really much of a difference, especially for the return lines. And that return pump is going to be very low pressure compared to what PVC could be used for. I’m f anything there might be something to be said for using it on the overflow so you are less likely to have anything build up in a horizontal “dead spot.” But it does look sharp the way you have it mocked up, as long as measuring it and glueing it isn’t too much of a pain

If you switched to street elbow at the tank you could get your plumbing closer to the back.
