907 Tank & Stand Build - 55 Gallon

Oh we didn't ask any permission 🤫

Currently in the northeast/Jax/St Johns..

What are are you in these days?
Cape Coral. A bit of a hike from you. Thank heavens! 😆

Little foreshadowing, getting settled at the new pad and got a 10' wall approved for the next tank 😏

Early phases now, leaning 6', but could go to 8' if we get crazy. Bottom floor, concrete pad home. Need to review electrical requirements, yadda yadda. More to come....

I had 2 extra run. One for upstairs (lights, and extras) 1 for everything downstairs (sump stuff and mixing station). None are gfi plugs but the circuits are gfi circuits.

My arm can be twisted 😃

Going to start by adding 2 new circuits (?), got room in the breaker panel. I dont do electrical so will probably be tagging people like @tharbin for advice 😬🫡. GFCI, no GFCI, etc...
I know electrical!! Available to advise

It's pretty easy to slap in a new breaker or two.

Run 2 20amps with GFCI outlets, separating the lights on a separate circuit from the rest of the equipment is best I think.

Dual gang boxes for both, use power strips where needed, or a nice control panel.

Thanks Stoney!

GFCI outlets over GFCI circuits? Breaker panel is no issue to get to for resets.

I was reading one article that suggested auto-reset breakers as well..?

Lights on one circuit due to draw/wattage? Of course I dont have an equipment list yet for calculation. My first thought was to split equipment, if it fits with controller setup, half lights/pumps/heater on one and half on the other.

Ohhhh… I see how it is now. I tell you I’d be willing to lend a hand and get thrown overboard for the likes of @tharbin. That’s it, mister! No wiring for you!

It sounds good. Just make sure to use 2 seperate 12/2 romex- cant use 12/3 for 2 circuits anymore(though it has been safe for many years. Just make sure they are on opposing phases(poles) in panel. I like gfci breakers as they protect the wiring and outlet itself also
