907 Tank & Stand Build - 55 Gallon

I
My arm can be twisted 😃

Going to start by adding 2 new circuits (?), got room in the breaker panel. I dont do electrical so will probably be tagging people like @tharbin for advice 😬🫡. GFCI, no GFCI, etc...
I added four dedicated GFCI for my build and had a licensed master electrician (good friend of mine) wire everything to the breaker panel / box.

Yes, wow! Dang I love that track, what a race.

SVG is a beast.

Ross's interview hit me right in the feels.
I normally would comment on this but will refrain for 2 reasons: 1.) You are dead. 2.) I have no idea what is being discussed.

Some secrets are just too good to be shared.

@crusso1993 I just want you to know, that, no matter what, I will always love you.

...unless I catch you in #77 gear 😬

🤣

I got a notification that someone posted something in here. Yet, I see no post. Weird. I am happy I got the notification, though, because it reminded that I need to stop watching this thread.

Out scouting for CUC.

What if we go full NSW on the next setup 🤔

Youre on the gulf side or Atlantic? I wouldn't use water from the gulf. It gets red tide and blue/green algea every year. Atlantic east coast is better?

Northern east coast, St. Johns/Flagler. Still not sure if the bacteria risk would be too great but food for thought 🤔

If not for the bacteria/micro organisms, what do you want with natural sea water?
If its in your back yard(free) and you don't care for the bacteria/ etc- filter it and run a uv on holding tank

Definitely interested in the good bacteria/organisms, just cautious about adding risky bacteria such as Vibrio. Running some searches here, haven't seen that much concern though.

I’ve seen a few people on here that do it but I think they have a boat and go out a little bit to collect the water and not from the beach. Most nasty’s there

I am working on mansplaining to the wife that buying a boat is cheaper in the long run than mixing ASW....

RS Coral Pro salt mix 175g bucket is ~$100.

With a 400g system, 12.5% WC is 50g.

1 bucket = 3.5 WCs = $28.50 per change.

If I do 14 water changes per week (😏), that's $399.

A 20k boat would pay for itself in 51 weeks!

😃

14 changes per week. Very admirable?
