90x90x76cm sps tank light advice

Hi all,

I’ll be getting a cube aquarium in size 90x90x76cm. I am planning for a sps tank and looking in to lighting.

My current lights were the 1st gen ati straton and they served me well. Now this new aquarium has some difficulties regarding its size. I hope you guys can help me chose fitting Lighting to this tank for beautifull and high quality lights.

I am for maximum spread and high par. Around 200 on the bottom and 500/600 on top of the scape. I prefer passive cooling and it needs to be available in Europe as i live in the Netherlands.

Honestly, I'd do a series of strip type lights for that size tank. Since it has to be available in the EU, maybe 3x AI Blade Grow and 2x AI Blade Glow would be my choice.

I would say 3x Quanta Helix Meso Blue and 2x Helix Tropic Sun, but I don't think you can get them in the EU.

I have a hard time to believe those strips can offer blanket like spread like that of a straton. Also the build quality on those things feels horrible.

It seems like it’s my only option though.

I have considered a ati straton g2 pro 204
It covers 90x70 + like a orphek bar or something but I don’t know

Thats literally what they're designed for.

Also, I wouldn't recommend Orphek anything, to anyone.

I’ve always done very well with T5 LED Hybrid.

Hmm don’t want to go t5.

So far Ati straton pro g2 204 seems my best bet. Can always supplement it with a ai blade if needed

I don't understand why anyone buys Dalua lights, either. Lots of marketing snake oil with that one. Terrible spread and actual spectrums that don't match advertised spectrums.

But, hey! At least they're expensive!

I can understand why you think the marketing is abit snake oily but why do you conclude that the dalua lights have terrible spread and actual spectrum do not match advertised spectrum?

Do you have any link to other threads or videos that indicate this?

I do not have these lights but considering them due to:

1. 4 pucks better than 1 single puck in kessil or redsea
2. The app seems very good from video reviews
3. The lighting color seems nice in the shops
