After waiting some time and doing research on different pumps I think I am going to get 2 of the jebao RW-20 like hayduke suggested.

UPDATE: tank is still in its cycling stages hasn’t had an ammonia spike yet. I’ve had water in it since the 21st I believe. Should it have already had an ammonia spike???

what are you using to create ammonia in the tank? Shrimp, fish food or an ammonia product? unless you are putting an ammonia product in the tank, then no it is not unusual at all. It takes many weeks to get a good ammonia spike in that volume of water.

Noah, have you reread the sticky threads in the beginners forum? It is great to reread them. You will recall much of it, and understand so much now that you have 4 years of experience. There is so much information that probably did not stick in your brain from when you were starting out. read, read, read. I know it seems like you went slow by delaying putting water in it for a few weeks but not really much slower. It will likely take this much water a couple of months to cycle. Take this time to read, and plan out the next additions. Why did you not protect the wood stand? Have you watched BRS videos? lots of great info there.

And For the stand the previous owner who hadn’t gotten to filling the tank with water because work got in the way, treated the stand with the water sealant

Alright so have been mia for a while but a lot has happened in that time.

I’ve added all my livestock from my previous tank and I believe 95% survived the transition (2 acans didn’t make it). Still have all my fish and I also added some chromis, and radiant wrasse.

I have three ai 52’s for lighting and a mp40 for flow and another rinky-dink pump. I’ve been loving my bubble magus curve 9.

I’ve had minimal issues such as getting my magnesium to raise so I wouldn’t have to add magnesium every day but I found out that I was testing it wrong. Some Corals have started to look a bit stressed as a result to this but they seem to be looking better.

Enough talking let’s get to some pictures.
