Hey Everyone, I have been lurking and asking questions for years. Even bought some stuff from a few of you. However I don’t think I have ever posted a build thread or even a full tank thread. However this is my dream tank and I finally think it is time to display this bad boy.

170 g tank 72”x24”x22” powered by a sicce syntra 9.0 with 1 ecotech radion g6 and two illumagic X4s. Protein skimmer and refuge in running in the sump. Currently using a two part for ca and alk but going to switch to all for reef after I am through my current two part.

Mixed reef with a bunch of torches and SPS frags I can’t remember the names of.

Fish
2 oreni tile fish
1 goldflake angel
1 teenage emperor Angel
1 blonde naso
Trio of rosy scale fairy wrasse
1 rhomboid wrasse
2 ocellaris clownfish
2 saddleback clowns
1 magnificent foxface
1 high fin goby

Inverts
1 green haddoni
1 yellow/pink gigantea
3 cleaner shrimp
Pair of blood shrimp
1 golden banded shrimp
2 sand sifting starfish
1 tuxedo urchin
1 Halloween urchin
1 long spine urchin
1 linkia starfish
A bunch of snails and hermits

Thanks for looking!

Very awesome tank with a great fish selection. You got my favorite fish, the goldflake angel, so I’m super jealous!

I would be concerned about the Haddoni though. My magnificent FF ran into a rainbow Haddoni at night and both didn’t make it.

Happy reefing and thanks for sharing.

Yea, i have the clownfish hosting in both my carpets, I am hoping they don’t let any fish get too close.

I also had a very large mean Clarkii that didnt stop it, but I hope you have better luck than me! That was my prized fish, I got rid of the carpet after that :downcast-face-with-sweat:

You have more close ups of the green carpet in the back of your tank? That thing is massive! Awesome looking tank by the way

Just a matter of time. I had 4 Haddoni’s (red, rainbow, and 2 blue’s). The rainbow killed the mag FF and it died. The red Haddoni melted away when I moved tank (no sand). One of my blue Haddoni’s ate 3 expensive fish! So — I just have clownfish and damsels in the tank now.

I love Haddoni’s (and carpet nems) but they will kill fish, eventually.

Absolutely beautiful,

e, well done!

I debated heavily, definitely tongue and cheek 😂😂
I have stated the same about my '56 Ford. I dont really to care to start adding up all the things I've done to it after saying it was done.😅

That is a full grown, massive saddleback female in there for size reference. She is at least 3.5”

Amazing deep green color I love it!

This was mine, that Clarkii was around 4"-5" and was 13 years old at the time

What do you do for flow? My Haddoni wrapped around the wavemaker before and thank goodness I had those nem guards on; otherwise, nuking the whole tank.
