I couldn't pass this deal up. He's about 3 inches long.

Nice fish. I have one, at least I think I still do. 😊 They are VERY reclusive. Only catch a glimpse of him every now and then. I have lots of rock so he hides in the nooks and crannies. Also never really have seen him eat. He’s still alive so must be eating something. Just not sure what . GL!

that's my fear. I don't know if he's eating.

Looks like you are in the process of setting up your DT. You should be able to keep an eye on him in the meantime and ensure he’s eating. They eat differently than other fish as well. They do like “a strike” of the food. Very deliberate.
