I was wondering if you might have added UV, that’s something I haven’t done yet myself. Might reconsider soon.

I’ve had a few dozen acros for a few years, and even when seriously considering going with fewer, I don’t want to let go of any, haha. Like you, I wouldn’t replace if they have issues because I want life to be easier with reefkeeping

It's funny because when you have a SPS dominant tank you get so wrapped up in what "needs" to be done to keep them healthy. My tank now is very hands off. I haven't done a WC in months, no testing params. I just drip kalk and maybe every week or two add an all-in-one trace minerals solution. The few colonies and frags I have left are happy and healthy as ever.

I added the UV more for water clarity, looking end to end on my 180 used to have a slight greenish tinge to the water and also helps for dinos or any weird bacterial algae

Messing around with the camera. Misplaced my 100mm macro but took a few shots with the wide lens of some frags I’m most excited to see grow out

Still running T5?
My current light setup on the 180. 8x80w sunpower is the main light source, 2 xr15s to help keep the very edges lit and a handful of actinic XHOs. The xr15s might be a tad overkill but I had them laying around and the t5 fixture leaves 6” either side and I wanted max coverage

Really liking how this spath is developing nice peachy/orange hues. My goal for this tank is to keep acro collection minimal and let the few pieces grow out large. Ideally id like it to be a mix of millis/spaths with a few large stag types

Camera settings didn’t really do it justice. It’s going to be a sick piece when it starts to go

I see the potential through the deficiencies of the camera, lol.
Let me know when we can hook up again, I would love to trade frags for herb cuttings and fruit tree clones too. I am thinking of a solstice get together 12/21, fire pit, food, coffee, teas, etc. More of a daytime get together, to celebrate shortest day of the year. Great seeing you brother, totally stoked on those pieces you brought, the JF Beach Bum looks killer already, and that blue one is gonna be perfect to offset the crazy red from the confetti and yellow from the nuetron. Looks like the collection is building again, man I really am holding off on upgrading and loading up on some killer knobby ones. My next project will be a true shallow water reef. Knobbies!!!

Sounds fun, I'll swing by for sure! I have a few more corals you might want, if you have the space

@386reeftrader
What's this one looking like nowadays? Beautiful peice! Im definitely going to look for a frag of this, do you remember where you got it?
That's another one I lost in the crash, unfortunately. I actually got that as a freebie from Ray at 2gc, it was a no name from Malaysia. Super cool piece, the tips were like glow sticks. I'm sure there's a vendor that has something similar. That's one I'd like to find it again also

I don’t usually buy corals from my LFS. Happened to be in getting salt and they recently had a shipment of Mari stuff. This A. Robusta/Abro caught my eye. It had a bit of recession on the base but I think it’ll come around. Definitely one of those iconic stags, hopefully can grow this one into a monster

Put me on the list homie!!!
This should be the hot topic on all discussion boards, what a score!!!!!!!!

The tips are already showing what hides underneath the teal tone, I see a diamond 💎 I know it was muted in less than acro loving environment, should turn heads in 6 months. I think those knobbies are going to be the next thing. Can't wait to see your tank brother!

Yeah I'd like to get my hands on a nice multicolor Humilis and Monticulosa to grow out in this system. The Robusta is showing some pinks in the tips, hopefully it settles in without going into a dormant phase

I fear the knobier the coral selections, the more the system will need higher than normal flow, perhaps crashing turbulence to mimic native waters. They seem to have adapted with a shorter knobier branches with tighter structure. Can you imagine going over the falls onto a monticulosa? I need to scrub that thought now! Lol..
