Hi all,
I hope you’re all well.
I’m in the process of putting together my first marine tank. I’m planning on using Dr.Tim’s one and only and ammonium chloride to help with the cycle before I add any fish.
I’ve seen a video on BRS tv that recommends running a salinity of 18 to 20 ppt and a temp of 80 to 84 during this time.
My question is, how essential is this? Will a higher salinity hinder the process substantially or do the above recommendation simply speed the process up? Thanks in advance guys. P
