Today I came home to my fish tank and noticed my fist fish passed away. my beloved clown fish bob was found on the floor dry. he jumped to his death. I need a tank lid and I cannot find any. any suggestions? it is 36.5x19.25 40g tank I have a tunze 9004 in it so I need to cut what ever I get to fit.
on a lighter note after my wife cried about or clown fish I did get a replacement and thought you know what I like that coral ban shrimp and lawnmower blenny.
I do not know much about lawnmower blennies having never owned one. do they sleep on rocks in sand? I know they eat algae. are they normally shy. I would love to hear about the animal behavior more from experience. sorry long rant

BRS DIY mesh screen lids work well and are relatively inexpensive.

However, if you have cutouts that you need to incorporate, perhaps you should look into the Red Sea DIY mesh screen kits as they have prefab cutout options to accommodate your skimmer.

Here the one I built for my tank which has a similar 36x18 footprint as yours.
