Those of you that have these, can you share your thoughts and experience on them? Is the app getting improved? Do the really look like 360x in person? Do the knobs blend the same as the real thing? There are almost no video reviews on these but they seem somewhat popular.

Meh, it's a Chinese A360x knock off. I have 3 in service, they work, but at 100$ a piece what are you expecting? The app is what it is and it hasn't been upgraded in the 2 years I've used them now. No the lights don't work like a 360 exactly when it comes to the knobs.
If you want a light with a similar form factor as a kessils and about 90%-95% of the par output with kinda similar color tone and disco ball effect, then go for it. For the price, I ain't mad. They work and have the same positives & negatives as a A360X, IMO.

I just ordered two on AliExpress. I am hoping they do well for a 55 gal softy/LPS I am just beginning. So far I have read the par is on point, but the led cluster isn't as tight as Kessil's so the lighting effects aren't exactly the same. I'm going for budget build so I can live with that.

I just got 4 of these. I can’t get them to work with app. I’m going back and forth translating. I can’t get them to sync with each other . Any tricks on how you got them to work?

FYI, I just got one after about a 25 day wait and the lens was frosty/whitish. The seller says it's "the newest version and better light dispersion... which is crap. The knobs on top do not work at all, the app is a security risk no matter where/how you download it. You have to go to a website to even get it, APK for andriod. With the light not seeming to work well with the knobs and all the security flags my pc and android threw up, I returned it. I'd say skip the cheap knockoff on this one personally.

Why not test it and tell us lol. I am betting anything from the cheap fake sites will be 10-20% the quality of real brands

quick review: seems solid, kind of loud fan noise. Nice that it comes with different lenses. App control is not terrible once you wrap your head around it. i bought this light to see if i like the 'kessil-look'. Turns out i do like it- my plan is to buy 2 ap9x's if i can find a great deal. are the kessils fairly loud fanwise at 50 percent?
But my question still stands, any idea what changed between ii and iii? notice both are still for sale on aliexpress and more curious than anything.

First off I apologize on my last post, I misread your message. On the v3, Did it have a frosty/white glass cover over the LEDs? That is a supposed "upgrade" but is just cheap glass. The light will be very poor quality if it is frosted, that was what mine showed up with. Plus the knobs were flaky and didn't work well. Lastly, the app download was super sketch and you have to use developer mode and install the app. Very unsecure.

Eh they work, but you have the same issues as a real kessil imo meaning not enough par for the course. I'd look at smat farm or noopsyche for a better overall bank for the buck light.
I ran them with T5's and LED bars, they did fine. As a light on their own, I wasn't very impressed.

I have runs kessils on my tank for 2 and half years now and just prefer the look. Upgrading to a 180 tank and gonna need to buy 5 360s but thats a serious chunk of change with the mounts. If these are as good would definatly save me some scratch. Something tells me they arent.
